Very ingenius and poetic song.Like the Band, Mountain could reach back into history and bring forth great music expressed with finely created lyrics.And its true that Mountain should be better known and better appreciated by today`s generation.
The architecture of this song is magnificent and formed together by the various instruments as well as Pappalardi`s singing .
A sensitive man, Pappalardi was-like the great 60`s bluesman Alan Wilson- taken from the world far too early.

Thanks, I share your sentiments. I think that, like Jimi Hendrix, Mountain was at their best when they did their more melodic and sentimental tunes rather than their loudest.
