Free-lining bread flake after roach. Delicate pulls and twitches on the quiver tip eventually lead to a hook up with a fish of eleven ounces, an average fish for this tiny tributary of the Warwickshire Avon with my current best from here, a fine one pound three ounce fish.

  • Yeah it is. I have a pair that fit the towpath like a glove. No overhanging rod butts to get in the way of passing cyclists and buggies. Great for all kinds of small stream,up close work and very good for margin fishing on commercials for perch when you don't want overhanging rod tops.

  • Good little clip that, Jeff. How are you feeling the Shakespeare Wand? Is it the 9footer you have? Thinking about getting myself one for small streams as you seem to fish it with, plus some enjoyable skimmer hauling with maggot feeders.
