It IS funny--maybe you didn't notice the toga-wearing protesters laughing? Maybe you didn't see the comments saying it was funny? They were there for a jokey protest. Making jokes is fair game.
Further, her humor is insightful. The protesters took the fact that the stage had columns & made an illogical jump to jokes about Obama being a Greek god. Marta took the fact that they were wearing sheets & made an illogical jump to jokes about them being Klansmen.
It's entirely appropriate--& funny.
