Though I feel bad for Kovu, and can't exactly remember everything that happened in the movie, I agree with Simba. Being a king means taking certain measures. Even if he had heard Kovu out, I seriously doubt very many of the kingdom would believe him, and that would cause them to be upset if Simba just let him back in with no real punishment. Kiara should know this, but from what I remember she had something of an attitude problem because Simba was rather overprotective...

@ALLxISxON101 He spent most of his life being raised in what was essentially a hippy commune by a mixed species couple, he seemed pretty happy, he didn't seem to think about his dad or the Pridelands until someone mentioned the stars. Before he took back the prideland's his biggest achievement was a loud burp. He's also voiced by Ferris Bueller, so his life has been pretty laid back. After so long with Scar the lioness wouldn't take much coaxing to sort the place out.
