Alone in the Dark - Pre Release Trailer

Such a great trailer from the new Alone in the Dark released in 2009. You can realize how different Edward's physiognomy is, some never before seen cutscenes, different places and graphics...
Its a trailer to divulgate the game before its final production. Guess you all enjoy, rate and coment.

Alone in the Dark is a survival horror game, released in early 90's. First for PC, then transported to many plataforms, like the extinct 3DO - PANASONIC. While Resident Evil turned survival horror games popular, it all really began with Alone in the Dark - full of great 3D polygonal graphics, superb soundtrack, eerie atmosphere, ghosts appearances, many books to read, tricky puzzles and many never before seen gameplay aspects like: open/close doors, throw objects, block windows and doors, put objects on the ground, 3D examination of objects and so on...

THE POLEMIC:
This game was supposed to revolutionize survival horror games...as once did with the first Alone in the Dark. Well, unfortunately the hype around the game and also the mass publicity around it, fall apart as soon Alone in the Dark PS2 version released. It was the first to come out...and also the worst. The cool ideas were there, but very bad executed with some bugs.

Many gave up of the idea to buy the game for the others plataforms. The game rated from bad to ok. Then other versions came out, and things was still weird. Although the graphics were much more improved than the PS2 version.
Alone in the Dark for PC: odd gameplay
Alone in the Dark for Wii: poor graphics
Alone in the Dark 360: great graphics and good gameplay, but with some bugs.

So the producers, to redeem themselves, created the ultimate version:
Alone in the Dark for PS3: bugs fixed, extra scene in Episode 6 (and spetacular boss fight), checkpoints in Episode 2, better driving gameplay, total control of the camera...And yes, ALONE IN THE DARK INFERNO (it was added a subtitle to make things clear that this one is better) finally scored good.

I really hope another Alone game comes out, and hope they don't mass like they did. Just release one version, the best, no bugs, and fun for all. To all you gamers take a picture of the hype around this game: GameCritics rated 9.5 / 10 in Mar 25, 2009, while GameZone rated 5 / 10 in Dec 3, 2008

And what's new in Alone in the Dark?
+ Real time healing system
+ Visible scars, wounds on your body...
+ You loose blood with stronger hits, so strap on the wounds before dying
+ Fire effects: almost everything can be burned, even doors.
+ No need for keys searching, shoot the lock and it will open.
+ Destructive scenarios
+ Driving sequences...you can drive any car in Central Park.
+ You can explode the cars
+ You can do a trail of gasoline, and then lit fire...You can use your imagination to kill the enemies.
+ Cinematic feel

So, I highly recommend you all to play. What are you waiting for? I'm one of the gamers that bought this game...and wasn't disapointed.

I would totally have liked this game more if he did instead of him looking like he's in his early 70s.

@234Assassin: Well...since Edward Carnaby is the same protagonist of the 1st game, back in 1920 (the time 1st game is situated)...I think the Alone Inferno looks (more rustic, with scars...) suits him more...

He only managed to stay alive with that fresh look, over a 100 years old, because of the stone corrupted by the devil himself.

Alone in the Dark Inferno is know as AitD7 but this is AitD6 always wanted to get this for Xbox360 but I can never find it!! But I seen so many covers of it though for Xbox360 just watch my vid showing it its on first page!!

Alone in the Dark (from 2008 released for PS2, Wii, PC and 360).

Alone in the Dark Inferno (basically the same from 360 version, only way way better with extras and bugs fixed). So, basically, there are 5 Alone games so far.

@AloneInTheDark525: No dude, forget numbers, game covers & also this pre release trailer. You know, a game can change a lot from the earlier days of production to the day it will be out, in stores. Take a look at Dead Island: since 2006 this game is about to come out. Can you imagine how many trailers, expectations, transformations, covers this game is passing by? About Alone, that's the list. Numbers are only into the 3 first games. Then only subtitles. So yes, this Alone is the 5th.

Whats the name of the epic song that starts near the end....like chanting.....Also I have this for the wii but gave up on it cause I got stuck on the part where you hotwire a car and are being chased lol.....VERY difficult part on the wii.

@OriginalBloodAce: The composer of this game is Olivier Derivieri...and with the help of The Bulgarian Voices...they created one of the greatest soundtracks for games. I think this song in particular is PRELUDE TO AND END. I'll send you my video with this amazing soundtrack...greetings. Oh, and the car sequence in PS3 is easy...we have checkpoints, bugs fixed, a more realistic movement of the car, better gameplay, and the woman also tells you where to turn. This game, in PS3, kick ass.

@Lyvarious my comment was talking a reply to another comment regarding the 360 and computer versions and then the later ps3 version. They had nothing to do with what version the video was showing
