The 2004 Rennsport Reunion II was one of the largest gatherings in history of Porsche race cars with over 500 Porsches entered. Not being familar with the performance of a RUF CTR2sport, when organizers rec'd the entry for this stock street car, they put it in the race group of production-based Porsche race cars and hoped it would not slow down the field. This third clip shows what happened when the RUF shares the track with 120 Porsche race cars. The footage is from dash-mounted and bumper-mounted lipstick cameras on a RUF CTR2sport with a DataCam system superimposing the RUF's MPH on the screen.
Love the sound. Love the car. Wish video was higher quality :D

they should have known better before hand, especially considering that it is a CTR2 Sport. It'll smoke most of the Porsche race cars

Did the imsa GTO 935 slopenose (750hp) or the GTO 944-GTR (620hp) ever get on the track and race?
I was there on pit road sighting down the side of that old 356 coupe (natural finish) and saw some legs in a racing suit come up. I said "man, did they find this in a barn?" I looked up and jerry seinfeld was there and answered in true jerry fashion with hands out "a chicken coop!" "but a very nice coop that had been converted" Was that porsche #2?
