You don't get it. If you go too far the White House will pull ANY network's White House press credentials and blacklist their reporters. This is 100% legal and it (if you remember a few years ago) almost happened to FOX News and they curbed their tone. Cable news lives on info from the White House, they can't survive without their reports their.

I'mnot delusional it's true for example CBS canceled The beverly hillbillies, Petticoat Junction, and Green Acres while they were still at the top 5 in the neilsons because the new suits at CBS didn't want to be known as the Hillbilly network, Fox canceled tons of top rated shows as had NBC, and more do some research.

Don't be delusional - even if what you say is true - Cenk certainly does not fall in the category of a show that was doing great in the ratings bit got killed anyway. Hos show sucked because ppl can only take for a few minutes an easily flustering melon head that gets his panties in a bunch so easily

"No network would cancel a show that is doing well in the ratings"? ha! Fox, CBS, NBC and many, many others beg to differ seriously they have done just that for years.. not often but they do it sometimes the people in charge change and want to be ride of the previous administrations pet projects, sometimes suits don't care about various things director, producers, maybe the show is reaching their desired/target audience but is still doing great numbers in other demographics and so on.

Wood - you really need to RTFP. Cenk's ratings were not as good as he would like for ppl to believe. Face it - no network would cancel a show if it was truly kicking ass in the ratings - if anything - the networks would know Cenk would simply go to the competition and make CNN lose millions. They simple fact is his ratings might have been fair to average and the networks obviously thought they could have a better show in its place. And yes - he is VERY annoying to watch, especially when agitated

Blog, I disagree - I don't find him annoying at all. Like Ed Schultz he tells it like it is and is not boring. The fact of the matter is his ratings were very good and MSNBC made a big mistake not letting him do his own show. His tone wasn't any worse or aggressive toward Republican guests than Lawrence O'Donnell or Ed Schultz.
