Thanks for the Memories is a video I edited when NGW had their 30th Anniversary at the Throckmorton Theatre in Mill Valley, CA. It pretty much chronicles in photos our career together. We started at at the Tiburon Lodge for $25.00 a piece. Shortly after that we did a long run at the Chez Jacque on California Street and made a name for ourselves in the Cabaret world. We were coined the "Ladies of the 80s." We won many awards for our harmonies in the Cabaret circuit and did a show with Barbara Cook which introduced us to many prominent theaters, incredible choreographers and also "tap dancing" which was a hoot. We returned back to SF, took a hiatus from singing together, got back together after about a year or so and now we are performing and accompanying ourselves with the addition of a star soloist here and there. Its been a ball and I hope we become the oldest performing trio in history. Here's to 30 more years. Hope you enjoy the retrospective.
Some of the musicians are Joyce Giovanna Imbesi, Barbara Borden, Joy Julkes, John Turner, Joyce Baker, John Hoy, Jeff Labes, the Jesters (We Couldn't Say Goodbye." Many of the photos were taken by Nicole Bengiveno, Lucinda Riva and Irene Young. Much of the footage was shot by Iliani Matisse, Nicole Bengiveno and Jerry Slick.
The video transitions get choppy in places on YouTube - it doesn't do that on Facebook.
God, were we EVER that young together!! Babies, all of us...Love to all!
