Tarrytown once had 6 tracks so still not completely true. TTOWN had the EAST and WEST "middles", and once upon a time a track 5 'pocket' at various times in its history.
its only unique in that its the only station on the HUDSON line in that configuration. Beacon for example has the same configuration but without a track passing thru - but New Rochelle has the exact same track configuration as the current TTOWN station...

thats true - b/c even with the rebuilding of CP25 the only real change was the cut back of track 06 to the new 62 switch.

Once in a while you might see the Poughkeepsie express trains get on the wrong track and have to back up.

That's interesting. Tarrytown was unique with the 1 side and 1 Island Platform setup. But oh well if it must be done allow it to be so. =(.
