This makes me proud to be third generation Dutch Canadian! I'm pretty sure if my Oma was alive she would cry if she had heard this, this has inspired me to learn more about the dutch side of the family. (I'm only 50% dutch, the rest of me is French Canadian, i being the twelfth generation in Canada).

Typical Dutch instruments? There are few. Most of our instruments have brothers and sisters in neighbouring countries. The Dutch bagpipes for instance are played in France and Germany. Only the Dutch Dulcimer, "The Noardske Balke" can be called typical. Clogfiddles etc can be found all around medieval Europe.
