Ansett 747 400 landing Runway 27 at Princess Juliana Intl. Coming in from over the mountains this is one of the hardest approaches and landings in the world. This is on my FSX

  • your not even supposed to come in though that approach

  • @simpledudeable little late, but thanks

  • @bajesus666 Only aircraft operating in VMC (Visual Meteorological conditions) and are likely to stop in a shrt amount of time, like the DHC-6 or so, but they "follow" the southwestern shore at an intermediate altitude (1000 or something) until they pass the mountains, then they manually line up with the runway. No jets climbing over mountains and diving for the runway, that's practically suicide!

  • lol """"PJIA""""""""

  • you should have gone around...

  • Btw.. the ICAO is TNCM not PJIA

  • try to land a a380 there its great

  • yup..and plus it takes forever just to turn a ang 747 id rather fly an a380 is easier,i like the 737

  • Yeah, I know that is a hard approach on FSX lol At least you didn't crashed.

I only landed a 747 on runway 27 once, never wanted to try again lol I did it pretty good but I ate all the runway and I didn't had time to center.

    But it's easier to land there with a 737 and 757 ;)

  • So bad :) can really do that better :) you like throttle up befor the hill and then you have to much speed to get down. Try to sink fast after the hill instead flying 20 feet over it
