XenoGears Destruction of Lahan

During the battle Fei witness's Timothy get shot and killed. Upon seeing this he goes mad as Id takes over his body. This results in Waltell transforming and obliterating the village and killing Alice in the process. This is all witnessed by the survibing villagers including Alice's little brother and Citan. All enemy forces are destroyed, though outsiders become aware of the incident as well. All this causes Fei to flee later.

@Vladislak If it was done by the original team... with Yasunori still as the sound guy, I would fucking love it (If they are still the gods of the past) ;-; That I can agree with you on. x3 I'm 21 but everytime I play Xenogears I feel like a little kid crying, and such. xD

Well I agree that it was pretty much perfection, and that Square-Enix is a pathetic shadow of what Square once was. This is why I would only accept a prequel/remake/sequel if it was done by the original Xenogears team.

But yeah, that's assuming the members of the original team haven't gone down the same road Enix went down.

@Vladislak I honestly don't want to see a remake of Xenogears, nor a prequel(Xenosaga exists) Xenogears was the absolute most perfect game I have ever played. And I don't want to take the chance of Enix making it worse, as we know they have degraded over the years /: They made some fantastic games in the past (Well, Squaresoft did).. But their present just isn't up to par.

Ah, I see. Oh well, maybe someday Square Enix will hire original Xenogears team to remake the game or make a sequel/prequel.

Actually a prequel could work, I mean we're told about a handful of Fei and Elly's past lives, maybe there were more we weren't told about that it could be based on.

No, the cousin I'm talking about never appeared in the game (but was mentionned in the Perfect Works, like a lot of things that never made it into the game) and is named Jordgarde or something (Soraya Saga drew her as well as other members of the Fatima family... Jorgarde wears pants *well, something a bit similar to Sigurd's outfit*, has pink hair and fights with whips...).

I'd have liked to see those characters get fleshed out more as well, but with their budget they barely got through the second half of the game as it was. Not that I'm complaining about that, it was still phenomenal.

Squaresoft clearly didn't have their priorities straight. They should have pulled some funding from the Final Fantasy franchise and given it to Xenogears. It's not like people wouldn't buy the FF game anyway. Oh well.

That cousin might just be Margie. Seeing as Bart and Sigurd are half-brothers and Margie is Bart's cousin it's possible. Provided Margie is Bart's cousin on his fathers side.

As for Maria, Emeralda, etc. I get the impression that they planned on fleshing out many characters but couldn't due to budget constraints. Rico seems like another example, they implied his father was the Kaiser in Kislev, but then never did anything about it and Rico just sort of fell out of the story.

Emeralda never had any story as an adult... but I guess she would have been pretty interesting and kickass in a sequel. Actually, I think some little girls in Xeno could be interesting and/or strong female characters as adults (Midori, Maria...). And I always felt like Margie was stronger than she appeared (I think she was going to be playable at first... and her weapon was pretty awesome ah ah...). Also, it seems Sigurd has a cousin we never heard about in the game.

I think he did return them... I think it's confirmed in Perfect Works that she was a bit more than a friend to him. But it wasn't meant to be.

I think Elly and Fei can fall for other people (for example, I think it's possible that Sophia might have had some sort of a crush on Krelian *and PW says that Lacan first thought they were a couple*, but then she met Lacan again and she completely fell for him)... even if they're meant for each other in the end.
