How do u tune the car for a new intake? Because if wat u guys are saying getting a new intake and it doesn't do crap to it just add noise wats the point?

@rockfella8587 maybe more effective with better flowing exhaust, or a tune? i dont know a lot about these renesis motors tho. I agree it does look and sound very nice.

It's all noise, no gain dude. Sucks in hot air from the engine when the hood is closed. The only intake with proven HP gains is the RB Revi Intake with Ram-Air attachment (same if not better than MS and AEM CAI).

Don't own the car but a buddy did a before and after dyno and he got a lot of inconsistent results that made it hard to determine the gains (dyno's are bullshit). I looked at them and could MAYBE on average see 3hp gains in the high range and I couldn't even read the messed up torque line. Anyways, these intakes without tunes are just for sound pretty much. =] And anyone who claims to feel it more than likely has a small case of the placebo effect lol. That's my 2 cents. Nice intake though =]

@wolf1010 Hi buddy, to be honest with you i have to agree. I dont own the RX-8 anymore, (got an A6 quattro avant now). Although it did sound nice i noticed that the top end performance was alot slower, once i got up to about 100mph it seemed to accelerate slower than before. I dont think i would ever buy an induction kit again unless i had the ecu re-mapped for the engine to respond to it properly. I think i just liked the sound!! :) My brother also fitted one to his car and had the same problem

I haven't had it on the rolling road yet but it definatley accelerates harder from 5000rpm upwards! Blitz claim an 8-10 bhp gain.

@rockfella8587 Think i was driving this car with rose tinted glasses on, nice sound, but car could no longer reach the top speed it used to before i fitted the induction kit =(
