Dear K-9 carts,
"I recently rented a quad wheelchair from k-9 carts for my dog Badger. He's a 15-year-old mixed breed who recently had surgery for a ruptured cervical disk that had pinched his spinal cord and made him unable to move. I rented the cart just after his surgery. Before the cart arrived, he was not moving around very much despite the fact that we were doing a lot of work with him. The day we got the cart, we put him in it and he very quickly got used to walking in it."
"The very next day, Badger actually walked a few steps. He was really wobbly, but each day he walked more and more. He used the cart as well, but quickly preferred walking on his own."
Badger's recovery was definitely aided by the use of the K-9 cart. I recommend it for people with dogs recovering from this type of surgery. For Badger, I think some of his issues with walking again were mental. The cart helped him to see he could walk, and very quickly he was trying to get around on his own (and succeeding!).
I appreciate being able to rent the cart since Badger ended up not needing it permanently.
Sincerely,
Alison
Not to my knowledge. We usually want active photos of the pets using our carts, but I will keep an eye out for any we get as long as the owner is okay with it.
