Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000

Demonstration of the proximity sensor backlighting on this rechargeable keyboard and mouse. Paid $59 AUS after a generous discount from my brother's work and a cash back from Microsoft. RRP is $450 which is crazy.

BEAUTIFUL - just bought one and looking forward to using it. I hope this will be one microsoft product I will like!

@Corp0ralPunishment It's a nice keyboard and I still use mine. The only slight issue is that the batteries have to be seated well for it to charge properly. Otherwise you get the fast flashing red light which is annoying.

@SneakieBillTV now that I have used it for some time, I'm dissapointed of the build quality. Lots of silver is rubbing off various keys. For a product with a recommended retail price of £200 it is totally unsatisfactory - I mean my £5 keyboard hasn't faded or the letters rubber off in 5 years of use. I won't be buying any Microsoft hardware ever again.

It connects to my PC via USB so if you have a USB port in your laptop I would say so.
