The B-side of Dennis Wilson's single "Lady" / "Fallin' In Love", his first solo release from December 1970. Originally intended for the first version of the Beach Boys SUNFLOWER album, but rejected from the record company. Presented here in a special mix, combined with the Spring-version, released in 1972. Spring was a group containing Diane Rovell, Marilyn + Brian Wilson and David Sandler.

  • Thanks for getting this back on youtube! I can't believe the Beach Boys only just released this on their latest compilation CD. A hidden gem! But Dennis is the only one on it right?

It's amazing that the work Daryl Dragon did with Dennis Wilson was so good since the work he did with Toni Tennille was so awful.

  • @thatmuse76 Thanks for the info; much appreciated. I agree, too, w/ your opinion on Y.O.'s (lack of) talent as a singer - when "Double Fantasy" was released, I immediately made a cassette of John's songs only, as I could not abide listening to Yoko's screeching. They made sure to alternate John's songs w/ hers; no coincidence, surely. P.S. Although I now admire Yoko for many things, I cannot & could not ever abide her attempts at singing. She should have left that to John.

I don't think this one has anything to do with Manson, although "I'm Going Your Way" has a bit to do with picking up a hitchhiker that introduced Wilson to Manson. Perhaps the Beach Boys saw Manson as Brother Records way to compete with Apple Records Yoko Ono (sure she is not as harmful, but just as deluded in believing she had pop star or even artistic potential).
