  • This is a very, VERY tough piece to perform, even for college choirs.

    Was this perfect? No.

What is terrible? Not at all. Don't hate on this choir.

    I enjoyed this performance. :)

I will be posting my choir singing this song very soon. I will be sure to post a link.

  • too mechanic, many chords are out of tune... cut the vibrato...

  • Also the choir needs to stager breather the last section, it sounds horrible with those big gulps of air. Bravo on the Ah section. I agree that its too fast, but thats the interpretation, it could be so much better not even considering tempo. Work on getting the notes, but as a choir, the sound is very un-unified. The women have a very poppy sound this is a choral literature. I love that you guys are singing such challenging music. Keep it up.

  • The first soprano really needs to cut the vibrato - it doesn't fit at all on the high "A"s. The inner voices are fishing around for the notes a lot, making the piece very out of tune. There is also needs to be a better sense of line and phrasing, th whole piece was very stagnant, and when the climax was reached, nothing happened. There is so much pain in this piece that was not brought out. This is a very very very hard piece to sing. The biggest problem was the tone and intonation.

  • Basses are good except at the set of 3 dulce lignums before the salva presentum - you are suppoed to sing a low A on dulce and then a high A on Lignum. You are drifting to a Gsharp because you want to tune with the altos - don't, it's supposed to be a seventh chord. The women had a lot of tone issues and tonality ones as well.

  • The balance in the first section is off, the women who stay on the A are too loud, they need to back off and let the B flat and A flat take over when its their turn. The first chord isn't in tune at all - splendidior astris is supposed to be an F minor chord, the A flat needs to be louder. The balance lacking. The tenors are way too loud and the baritones are way too soft. There was little delicacy in this piece, the softer sections need to be more expressive, everything was very attacked.

  • very nice!

do yo have the score partiture for send me plis???

    my choir want do it!

  • this kind of sucked... sorry...

  • to fast. way to fast. but pretty good

  • well done.
