@hungrylikethewolf73 Case in point: One of my high school students today was telling me how he likes "Friday" by Rebecca Black because he says "it's the only song about Friday!" I said hold on a minute--there's "Fridays" by Joe Jackson, Thank God It's Friday (disco-era song), and "Friday on My Mind" by the Easybeats (and covered by David Bowie). His response: those "don't count" because they were released in the 1970s (or earlier)!
