Times are Tough. Are You Financially Fit?
With the recent doom and gloom of a recession hanging overhead, it is easy to get discouraged about your financial situation. Layoffs, salary freezes, bankruptcy claims, foreclosures, and plummeting retirement funds have nearly everyone across the nation thinking about financial security. In this economy, being financially fit is a necessity. And, it is important to realize that the amount of money you make is not necessarily the key to financial fitness. Rather financial fitness is the result of keeping as much of your hard-earned money as possible. Basic financial life skills and debt management are critical to financial fitness.
WQLN is strongly vested in providing financial education opportunities to local families, educators, and social service providers and we are opening our doors to the community. Please join us for a Town Hall Meeting about financial fitness on July 8th at 6:30pm in the WQLN Studios. A panel of local experts will engage in an educational and valuable discussion stimulated by clips of an educational television program called Biz Kid$.
The event is free and open to the public. Teachers in attendance will benefit not only from valuable information, but also from Act 48 professional development hours.
Financial Fitness: A Town Hall Meeting will air LIVE on WQLN-TV 54 and stream LIVE on the web at www.wqln.org/financialfitness
Wednesday, July 8th at 7pm
