@DenisKomment ..thats actually quite funny. Along the Lines of CRM. As the Captain turns to his first officer and says..."This is the COCKPIT, you are the Resource, I am the Manager."

@TheUKCanadian yes, thank you. i read about it already, Engine Turns Off Passengers Swim :)) just kidding)

@DenisKomment it is called ETOPS. Extended twin engine operation. There are a certain number of conditions that need to be met in order for an aircraft to conduct ETOPS flights over the Oceans or over Rural parts of the globe. So many miles away from an airport that it must be able to reach in a certain number of minutes, etc. etc.

That was so beautiful, really great!!!!
do you fly for fun?

@yezidi11 I do fly small planes. But not as much as I'd like to.
I still consider work flying to be fun, though.

Hm.. I thought only 4 engine planes fly over the Atlantic..
DenisKomment 1 year ago
@DenisKomment That used to be the case, prior to the 767 introduction in '83. Today, the majority of traffic across the North Atlantic is of the two-engine variety. Some of which are 737s and A319s in fact.
