@djteac I like compressed air for blowing the (amazingly disgusting) dust out of laptops. It's important to try to block fan rotation while you do it, however.

Just use compressed air, most people will not be able to reassemble a notebook. Also on some notebooks you have to take them completely apart just to get to the fan. Thats why we charge 80 Bucks for cleaning a notebook.

While compressed air in a can will do a job just as good, just be sure to do it outside, you won't believe how much dust is in those things.
