Thank you !!!
That worked great

I bought an extended battery from ebay. One of those off brand cheap ones. The battery itself works great but the problem was the cover. If you notice on your stock battery cover there are two yellow/gold metal pieces? Those help the 3g and 4g antennas work. The cheap extended battery cover did not come with the "gold" pieces... they looked copper. Anyway, all i was able to get was 1X signal. Don't go the cheap route, you should go with the real HTC extended battery and cover.

Thanks I had the same problem with the extended battery with the same mount was looking for a new one saw this vid did what you did works perfect!!!

Very ingenious. Thanks so much for the demonstration.

Has anyone tried this with any of the aftermarket extended batteries? Like the Seidio Innocell 3200mAh Extended Battery?

freaking McGuyver pretty neat I also got the idea of using the rubber case for the thunderbolt to use on the extended cover by cutting the back, so the battery could fit around the rubber protective case..why wait for the products to come when you have ingenuous people figuring it out for them..

Dresden67 - Thanks for the compliment! I did the same thing you did with the rubber case but i stopped using it since it doesn't fit in the car mount with it.

Chevy I used a tool called a Dremel. Great tool and u can always use it for other projects.

Chevy - I mistakenly said that but I meant without my modification it didn't fit with the extended battery.

Thx Stimuli. Glad u liked it. It doesn't scratch the phone at all if you just file down any jagged edges. Also velcro might be a bit too thick for the phone to fit.
