An afternoon out at RAF Coningsby, mainly to try out my new scanner, as I treated myself to a new one for christmas, to replace my old one which was a bit limited.

Footage includes Tornados, Typhoons and Grob Tutors from Cranwell.

Appologies for the focus, I dropped my camera a few weeks ago, and there is a small crack on the inside lense so all it does is focus on the crack :(

  • i think im going to go for the PSR-295, the 3500xlt seems to have quite alot of bad reviews, and i can hear on this vid that the scanner works at military bases :D

  • @stormcruiser2

An excellent choice, but then I would say that lol ;D

It's the size of a small brick and it takes ages to entre the frequencies you want but I wouldn't swap it for anything :).

  • what scanner do you use?

  • @stormcruiser2

I use two, a Uniden (UBC 72 XLT)

And the one you can hear in this vid is a GRECOM PSR-295.

  • @Hihonyr8811 ahh are the unidens good as i think im going to but the 3500xlt

  • @stormcruiser2

Yes, they're one of the best brands around, however for less money mine does exatly the same job ;) lol, only difference if it doesn't have some of the extra features that are unique to uniden (close call is one)

Hope you enjoy your new scanner when you get it :D

One bit of advice, which I'm sure you alreay know but it's always worth repeatng for anyone else reading this looking for a scanner lol :D.

When you buy your scanner, read all the specs very carefully and make sure it will cover 225-380MHz (which your 3500xit does you'll be pleased to know lol XD), other wise you won't get the miliair bands.
