No, NO, NO! You got it all wrong. Sam only looks into the mirror to see what he looks like and to say "OH BOY" even when he looks down at himself he is that person, male or female. He's too good of a guy to try out his new body and see what it's like. Sam would never take such liberties that's why he was chosen to set right was once set wrong... Besides if we saw the other person all the time they wouldn't need Scott and we would be confused as hell every week.

i actually remember reading a press release about that very episode. it almost ended the show a season early because of a similar dispute between the writers and producers. they settled when the writers agreed to not allow bacula to actually be gang raped and left for dead, and they all got free vacations for relenting.
