  • Hi, I have a technical question about the X3 Pro. Can you run the output signal straight to a speaker cabinet or do you need a power amp to so? I really want o get one but I want to know if I will need anything else, all I have so far is a guitar and a laney 4X12 cabinet.

  • @conus19 Hi, you need some power amp between the POD and the speaker cabs.

  • @ line6movies The reason I ask is my Attitude has a neck p/u output and a p-bass p/u output. I wanted to have a pristine, deep, clean low end for the neck p/u and have a raw distorted rig for the p-bass p/u. I just didn’t know if the X3 pro would accommodate both my bass’s outputs.

As a follow-up, I’m assuming I would then be able to rout the subsequent signals to two separate power amps for dedicated rigs, as well.

  • @shwalton75 Yes. You would probably want to come out of the left/right 1/4" analog outputs on the POD to two different power amps.

  • Hey guys! I’ve been a huge user and proponent of Line 6 gear for ages, but I desperately want to slim down my rig [which sees my using two Bass Pod XT Pros]. I have a Yamaha Attitude LTD with dual outputs and given the dual input stage on the X3 Pro, I was wondering if there was anything keeping me from running my two inputs into a single X3 Pro? Thanks!!!

  • @shwalton75 You could do this or you could just use one output on a dual tone patch which IMO would be easier.

  • Did anybody else notice the guy Playing metallicas to live is to die at 2:37

  • I'd be more impressed if he'd use just one bass for all the sounds. Change the bass, change the sound. And use a mid-range priced bass. Not a $3,000 custom rig. Now that would be real world.

  • that Hazzard setting is fucking sick

  • At 2:37, that melody is exactly the same as Metallica's song To Live Is To Die.

  • If the Pod X3 provides "All the bass tones you love in a single package", why did they find it necessary to use three different basses, a zoo of different cabs and at least 2 amps for the demo?

Could it be the Pod can't really make good-sounding specialist tones without using specialist basses and amps?

I want to hear all those patches using the same gear for each one, and no fair using tone monsters like Alembic. Show me what it can do with a regular J-Bass.

  • most of these things sound so good in these videos cause they are professionally mastered aswell before being put on the vid.

  • can i use this with the amp i have for the effects? and would the amp models be able to be used as well?

  • I would like to know what amp used in this demo. It does apears at right of the video.

Thanks a lot! Amazing SVT sound!
