Free Cartwheel (Aerial) Tutorial

I think I have included everything you should need, but please ask if there is still something you are unsure about. Please let me know if it helps too!

If at all possible practice these moves at a proper gymnastics centre with qualified coaches.

If you are having trouble with the height element of this move; you can make it easier for yourself by doing it off a springboard or onto a lower surface; just be careful if you are landing on a much lower surface as you are only landing on one foot.

I mentioned the support for this move; but didn't go into any detail. I don't think it's particularly necessary; as I said this is a safe move to try as if you don't have enough height you can just put your hands down and do a dive cartwheel.

I can perform an aerial but now I would like to learn the standing aerial, like the one gymnasts usually do on the beam. Could you make a tutorial to give some useful tips?

@chiaraad c'mon, you can't expect a seperate tutorial just for such a simple variation; it's EXACTLY the same move with EXACTLY the same progressions, you just do the same thing but with more power

@strider7077 hahahah If you actually watch the video you will realise I cover the progressions in quite a lot of detail; I always design my tutorials so it is possible to learn right from the beginning
