Why would you cut away "Main" at 300 feet? He's a lucky man. Must not of paid attention in class. Glad he's okay though.

The trees saved him from a true disaster. This was more of a mishap since all he got was an ankle sprain.
-
so I'm guessing he didn't use his other 29 jumps?
-
I think it was the companies fault for not supplying him with... oh I don't know... a normal parachute?

@zero187x lol very rigt thougt es bit stipid o im just oona cut myself wen i can land same plaee but wit no spraind ankle dibbo

This guy was a fool. His course prior to first jumping was 6 hours long and told him view to deal with certain malfunctions.... As a student he opened at 5500 ft and was open around 4500. That means this dip shit had a loooooong time to cutaway if he felt he couldn't land.

@hunster990 Well, skydiving's safer than skiing. More people are injured or killed by percentage whilst skiing than skydiving. People just hate the idea of falling to their death, that's the only reason for the prejudice against the sport, also the fact that you have to rely upon your equipment to save your life each time, people don't like the idea of not being in control of absolutely everything, even though they themselves are the biggest liability. The equipment's safe as houses.
Why would he cut? Hmm, ride the rest of it out and be a little off course, or.. LETS CUT IT AND FALL 300 FEET!

Im sorry if this sounds blunt but i would have no sympathy for people like this, this is just down right stupid, you make up your mind and do the drills high up to give plenty of time to cut, i hope he wasnt allowed back into the air
