@Bartsudz99 They were getting greedy. They knew Rev Road would get notice and was a larger role so they campaigned her as supporting so that she had to opportunity to win both awards. They tried campaigning still for the Oscars but it backfired and her Rev Road nom wasnt counted and she was upgraded to lead for The Reader (rightfully so)

I don't get it.... for the Reader.... why was Kate nominatied for Supporting Actress for that film and not Best Actress.
