  • One of the best videos of the event I have seen, particularly like the smooth widening of the shots as the locomotives come towards, and pleasant transitions.

Think I managed to avoid my orange vest finding its way into your video too!!

Are you going to the 60's Gala??

    Cheers,

    Steven

  • @FOCUSBritain

Thanks, slow zoming is not easy on modern cameras which seem to compete for the quickest recompositions. As to the hi-viz, don't worry there were plenty of others which found their way into the shots. Yes, I will probably be going to the 60s Gala, depending on what is going on elsewhere.

  • Superb quality video Bloodly fantastic at 12:50 as Olly storms through Quorn on the TPO mail

Superb weekend well worth the trip from Scotland to see it.

  • @1957WalkerAdrian

Thanks. Glad your enthusiasm was well rewarded.

  • It looks as though this was the place to go to get some Winter steam in the blood Mike....excellent coverage as always...strange to see 46521 in black after all those years in green at the SVR....Bob

  • @robmasterman

Thanks Bob. 46521 looked very smart, but it is surprising how much difference a change of livery can make.

  • @ShaurntheSheep Its staying black until further notice.

Thanks Austin. It is difficult to pick a best GCR Gala as they are all of such a high standard. The highlights for me were the pair of standards running together, Cromwell's acceleration through Quorn on the mail drop and the incredible light at close of play on Friday.

  • @LMSlad

Hi Joe, good to see you too. We all enjoy the banter and my struggles with my equipment gives the others a lot of ammunition! I get my own back from time to tme.

  • @loosegrip99

Thanks. It was an excellent Gala which ran pretty much like clockwork. No other railway can match the GCR for organising and running a high pressure Gala.
