First maiden take off since its restoration. Hasn't flown in 17 years until up to this point. Put back together in 2 months, counting the paint job.

I spent 4 years a civilian instructor in thes. Hours of boredom interrupted by seconds of terror especially pre-solo. US and Vetiamn students.

Mother Rucker? You must be a rookie.....reminds me of Ft Wolters. Indelible memories for many of us. My instructor was known as the "Screaming Eagle" .
I would give anything to get to fly a 55 again.
