"Hoy" (Today) was the second single released by Gloria Estefan on her tenth studio album Unwrapped. Song history
This single become in one of the most successful Spanish singles ever released on her entire career, being a complete success on the charts, especially in Latin America. The song was a chart-topper on the United States Hot Latin Tracks for four non-consecutive weeks; it also topped the charts on another five countries all of them from Latin-American. It remains as one of the most successful singles ever for Gloria in Argentina which was at the number one for five weeks. [1].
The lyrics for this songs were written by Gianmarco Zignago a famous Peruvian song writer and talented singer].
Due the success of the song in the Spanish version, the song made it onto the setlist in a Salsa remix for the Estefan's 2004 tour "Live & Unwrapped", aside of the original version in English which was sung at the concerts at the opening of all the show stops. Both songs were included on the setlist.
