The sixth piece of my renaissance rackett collection. The rackett has always been one of my favourite renaissance instruments, and it's a shame its use declined so vastly into the Baroque era and beyond. Lately though, the rackett has seen a slight renaissance. :)

  • It will also show up in dance tunebooks as Maltese Bran(s)le

  • schiarazula marazula

  • not anonymous. Its a "ballo Friulano" by Mainerio.

  • This sounds more like its being played on a regal, a small type of reed organ, and not at all on rackett or krummhorns....you can hear the slight "clicking" action of the keys on the keyboard! Fantastic instrument though anyway... :)

  • Yes indeed the Schiarazula , anonymous piece edited by Pierre Phalese.

  • Schiarazula Marazula!!!!
