I bought mine from Jr.com because it was in stock and there was no shipping or tax fees.
I overclocked the graphics card from:
Coreclock: 475, Memoryclock:680, Shaderclock:1045
to
Coreclock:625, Memoryclock:815, Shaderclock:1370
The reason crysis looks so good in the video is because I have downloaded a graphics mod for it to improve performance AND look great. The mod can be found here:
http://www.incrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=18999
-Dirt 2 was running at all High at 1600x900, also capable of running at 1920 x 1080 with a tad bit of lag.
-Mirrors edge was running at at Max resolution on all high as well.
-Crysis was running at 1280X720 on the custom graphics mod settings, capable of running at max resolution with some lag but it doesn't make the game unplayable.
Other thoughts on the Vaio: 14 inches and 5 pounds is perfect for me. Easy to carry around and the resolution is insane for 14 inches. The LED display makes the screen beautiful and colorful. In case you were wondering about the power, this laptop runs photoshop cs4 easily and sony vegas like a charm. It took around 7 minutes to render this 1 gig 720p video you are watching now.
The battery life is alright. The sony website claims 4 hours but you should get a bit less then that.
Multi-touch for any laptop:

I DIDN'T USE FRAPS BECAUSE I WANTED TO SHOW THE TRUE FPS OF THE GAMES AND NOT SLOW IT DOWN.
could you test GTA 4, I really want to see how it performs on this particular machine

Hi. I also have the same laptop:) But can you tell me if you did another changes to run the games smoother? How did you get 3Dmark over 8000? I tried overclocking with same values but I get only up to 6800. Also for crysis with the graphic mod(level 4 setting) I get about 15~ 20 fps(except when I'm looking at nothing like the sky or floor). Any suggestion? Thanks.
