I asume that you live in the USA, so how about 8,20usd a gallon here in holland in europe? We payed in the 70's even more than you do today. That prevented us from buying gasguzzlin V8 cars, because who needs two engines when you can go anywere with just 4 cillinders, who could do 25 mpg in those days? Americans consume way to much, so they are guilty to the high prices, because the usa alone uses a quarter of al the energy sources in the world, so al that for just one country!

@sonofaturdbucket This one's a 1971; you can tell by the grill. If it's divided in the middle, it's a '71, and if not, it's a '70. Other differences were even more minor.
