Stage 5: Agadir - Smara 04/01/2005 (654 km including 381 km of special)

Australia's Andy Caldecott (KTM) captured his first ever stage success in the rally, while Marc Coma (KTM) finished 2nd and moved into overall first position.

  • This is from the 2005 Dakar rally. Andy Caldecott is riding the green KTM number 23. He won this stage and finished 6 overall. The Repsol bike half way through the video is number 6 Marc Coma.

  • KTM is back in the game again.

    They quit the race because their was a restriction that said that the max cc was set to 450. However KTM got a dispensation.

  • ...top riders stick to the Dakar. Anyway KTM have now quit the Dakar...probably put more more into the Baja.
