David Fowler, Cloud Swallower

A murder mystery located in New Mexico. David Fowler tells of his historical mystery, and shows the landscape which inspired him. Native Americans seeking to exploit their sacred mountain for prosperity, come up against tribesmen equally concerned for the environment and the old ways. 500 year old Hispanic antipathies break-out and divert the plot, while an amateur detective tracks the killer. Fowler lives with his wife in northern New Mexico, an area rich in Pueblo and Hispanic cultures. Those associations have impacted his view of the world and his writings.
