I love this new sound. It's about innovation, about the greatness of music.
All people say: "The first album was better"
I say: fucking old men! This is a new era of MODERN METAL!!
Hail IN FLAMES!!

i dont think in flames evolved nor got ruined, they just reinvented them selves.. tough luck that when youre 40 you see the world in different way than when you were 20, that you can see clearly on "come clarity", there not the young energetic headbangers they used to be,so they do music that they think is more like them now, i dont they give the tinyest fuck about what ppl think about them, and i say what i say cuz their lyrics are still as beatiful as the old times gone, what matters...

@Astral2Mouth totally agree with you!!

Listen to Lunar Strain and listen to this new album, its not that they have "gotten better" or evolved musically, they are not even the same band. If they wanted to start writing Alternative music, they should have started a new band, instead of ruining the legacy that they left behind.

@digidank81 A True Music buff would love to see a band they love get more and more generic with each record? Please. It has nothing to do with being brutal, nothing In Flames has ever done has been brutal. What i miss are the interesting melodies and interesting song content.

@Astral2Mouth sucks when bands evolve and decide to explore the talents of the band more, huh??? Anders voice is amazing and I absolutely love the new album. He sings more than ever and does an amazing job. A New Dawn has them experimenting with strings and other instruments. I mean a true music buff would love this. But, I see you are just prob a hate filled depressed kid who only likes brutal music and anything softer than that is crap.

i've liked In Flames most of my life, from the so called "real" death metal Inflames to the metal gods they are today, they wouldnt be this big if they hadnt changed.
Same with Iron Maiden imho yea the best songs are from the "old" maiden but they have better album today and i havent heard a bad song from 2000 with maiden. Same thing goes for In flames already when ive heard their new songs 2 - 3 times it was like a real In Flames classic with all that In Flames are! keep on rocking guys!

You "I HATE EVERYTHING" and "HEAVY OR SUCKS" faggots need to just get over yourselves. Just because your life sucks and you are a depressed faggot who rages on everything and anything that isn't "tough" and "hardcore" don't bring us down. This song explore Anders AMAZING voice. The album has some heavy stuff but the song A New Dawn is simply a masterpiece. The strings added just makes it simply amazing. So, if you want to listen to the same band not evolve for 15 years go find someone else.

Thing is, most of "metal fans" look for metal as music they enjoy and they complain for "non-metal".. but real fans look every song as art and in every art there is own beauty... Like In Flames, i heard for them back in 2000 when they released The Clayman...and since that day, i was never disappointed or had complain on their music..over this 11 years by now...I don't care what genre they will be "Melo death super duper trash power hard metal". screw that, IN FLAMES WE TRUST bitches! Enjoy<3
mother fuckers are advertising on my videos and i get nothing from it!

Oh fuck...... I have no problem with a band changing...if they are progressing, this album should be called the sounds of a playground approaching, because now they are only making music for children who listen to the radio / nickleback fans. Every time i hear new in flames i am more and more shocked, you think i would get the point by now.

@Astral2Mouth maybe u should listen to some of the other songs then.. there is only like 3 songs on the album that are considered """Radio Friendly"""
