@deggis4 It was rhetorical, but you're right. It was just crazy! Magnesium wheels, magnesium panels, even a fibreglass rollcage!
Cars now go for more speed around corners instead of grunt. Heck, group A and WRC are getting closer together everyday! Especially with WRC cars having new specs next year.

@0okk Because it was flawed (safety). I'd rather ask why Group S* was buried at the same time.
* Btw, contrary to a popular belief, Group S wasn't going to be Group B's even more monstrous brother. Even before the deaths in 85-86, limiting engine power was one of the key points besides other safety improvements.
