@MindofaJedi It was when "The South" became very dependent on slavery that is when it became unfair. In a true capitalist society, slavery is not needed because true capitalism only works when people want to work to gain wealth, if people are lazy and expect the government to pay them for doing nothing, then it becomes archaic.
@MindofaJedi I do not like the idea of a government looking over me trying to keep me "in check". I like the freedom to do whatever I like just as long as I dont hurt my fellow humans in any way. I see that it is only fair for one to work for their wealth and not rely on government aid. I am ashamed that America is now a lazy country, and I can agree in a way with how you mentioned "Slavery" since this generation can't work at all. Of course, in the beginning america worked hard, but it was when
@MindofaJedi How is it slavery to work for someone else and get paid a decent salary? Capitalism supports the idea that if you work hard, it is only fair that you get more than a person who doesnt work hard. Of course Capitalism has its down sides but still, I pick the less of the two evils. I pick capitalism because I don't have to worry about the government taking my stuff away because I'm "Too Rich". I learn to rely on myself and not on others to provide for my needs and wants.
@TheKnightwing1197 Who said I want everyone to be poor . Capitalism when unchecked , always and without exception lead to slavery . We now live in a slave based economy just like we did before the civil war . We just moved our slaves overseas . If you don't believe this you most likely are not paying attention . It is no coincidence the "socialist " countries like Sweden , Norway , Finland have the highest standard of living worldwide .
@MindofaJedi Do you know the people who make the food in a capitalist country get paid? If getting paid for doing work for someone else is tyranny, I bet you think taking a poop in the forest is harmful to the environment since poop is considered waste. Most rich folks gained their wealth by starting from the bottom of society and worked their way up. If you think working harder to get more money than your neighbor does is wrong, then you must want all to be poor so we can be "equal".
