Ava's (POV)

I sighed as I dreaded the upcoming period next. Lunch. Now don't get me wrong, I love lunch. It's just that I and Ben have the same lunch. So that means I'm forced to see him.

RIIIING!

I jumped a little as the bell for 4th period lunch rung. Nick had 5th period which is after me so I couldn't try and stay with him. I kept my head down as I tried not to be seen as I made my way to my locker. Rotating the lock quickly looking around to see if any familiar face was heading my way. Coast was clear. I shoved my books in my locker and slammed it shut. That's when I heard someone shout my name.

"AVA!"

The voice was very familiar. I didn't turn around to look; I kept walking fast until I felt a hand grab my arm turning me around. And there was an out of breath Ben standing right in front of me. Oh no.

Ben: (Catching his breath) Hey Ava, you didn't hear me calling you?
Ava: (Thinking: Yes.) No.

Ben: (Breathing normal now) Oh. Well anyways, I missed you. (Smiles putting his arm around Ava kissing her cheek)

Ava: (Feels butterflies in her stomach, her cheeks turn red by his soft, red lips on her cheek)

Gosh, I couldn't tell him now, he was in a good mood. I just couldn't ruin that beautiful smile on his gorgeous face. But I had to. I couldn't wait until after school because that's when I flee. I liked him way too much to just leave without a goodbye the way I was.

Ben: Hey babe, you okay? You look like you have something on your mind?... (Concerned)

Ava: (Looks at him; sighs) I do. Ben, I have to tell you something important.

Ben: (Can tell it's serious, so he grabs her hand and they go to a more private area where it's just them) What is it baby? (Moves a strand of her out of her eye)

Ava: (Sighs, looks him in the eyes) I'm leaving Ben.
Ben: (Confused) what do you mean?
Ava: I'm leaving away from here. And I'm sure I'm not coming back here ever.

Ben: (Shocked) What? Ava why? We just got together and now you're leaving?

Ava: (Nods slowly) I'm sorry Ben. I really don't want to leave you. I really like you.

Ben: (Smiles a little) I really like you too Ava. Why do you have to leave so suddenly?

Ava: (Looks down) I...I um, I can't tell you. I'm sorry Ben. But believe me, if I could be with you I would.

Ben: (Sighs) Okay, well, when you do you leave?
Ava: After school today.

Ben: (Sad) Today's the last day I'll see you then. (Holds her hand) Then I'm going to cherish it. (Gets up) Let's go.

Ava: Where?

Ben: Anywhere but here. I just want to be with you with the time I have.

Ava: (Stands up) but what about school?
Ben: Screw it. Let's get out of here.

Ava: (Smiles and pecks his lips and Ava follows Ben out of the school and they hope in his car and burn rubber)

Nick's (POV)

So today was finally the day I and Ava were FINALLY going to escape the misery we were in. I wasn't sure where exactly we were going to go. But I knew some where definitely FAR AWAY from here. Some where I knew me and Ava would have a better life. Where we could be happier, a feeling we haven't felt in quite a while.
