Superman: Red Son - Movie Trailer

In Elseworlds, heroes are taken from their usual settings and put into strange times and places — some that have existed, and others that can't, couldn't or shouldn't exist. The result is stories that make characters who are as familiar as yesterday seem as fresh as tomorrow.

This is the story of what would happen if the Man of Steel we know and love had landed in Communist Russia instead of the United States of America.

An even bigger difference would be if Superman had grown up in a small, weak country that wasn't already a world power, a country that suddenly had a power that could challenge the armies and the nuclear weapons of the mighty -- but only so long as he agreed with them.

A Third World Superman is what I would really like to see.

@TheVoiceOfReason93 But again, the Romans already did conquer the world, just as we did (and there is a reason why the most common way to display the American flag is to tie it to a Roman eagle standard). Now, if Superman had been a barbarian who could stand up to the Romans...but then he'd be Asterix....
