  • Nope it's just Son playing individually, but Charley did record at the same session (including Moon Going Down and Bird Nest Bound) after travelling up from Mississippi together.

    100% agree, this tune & shetland pony blues are IMO the best sonhouse tunes, as you said " pluck a delta blues rhythm that tight & funky while slidn allover it & singin on a different time signature than his slide"

    too true mate, at least there are a few people left in the world that listen to this music, all my mates dont know of sonhouse, skip james or roberth johnson, its a sad shame more people dont listen to delta blues

  • I done TIME at the "Mississippi County Farm" in 1970, pulled a pistol on a White Man, was Drunk in a Coloured Jute Joint on SUNDAY in Hot Springs, AR. I was asked my the Warden, Dan Bloggett , to entertain the Convicts, with Pete Bearden, a former Fiddler with the Texas Playboys. I had to work in the Fields with Chains on Legs after a Captian riled me & I attacked him. My Mexican Wife had to serve time with me (in Ladies quarters) I doned 257 Days.
