Nightingale singing on a summer evening in a Suffolk forest, in countryside near Woodbridge England UK. Nightingales, Luscinia megarhynchos, are stunning song birds with beautiful sound.

  • This Nightingale song makes me SO homesick for Woodbridge. Was it recorded in 2007? I now reside in NZ. There are no Nightingales here,

  • yep 2007 it was

  • it sounds identical to the song of the canary

  • Thank you so much for this little film.

  • There is little more inspiring and thrilling than to hear a nightingale singing in the dead of night in England when every other creature is silent, except for the owls. It's a magnificent sound on a quiet, still night and with a full moon above it can make you go all poetic. My most memorable experiences have been in a wood in the Weald of Kent, south of Maidstone and in a wood near Thetford, Norfolk and in a wood close to Gloucester. A loud song from a small bird in English woodlands.

  • whoa *O*

    it's so pretty ^_^

  • the nightingale and wood thrush have beautiful songs.

  • someone told me there was a nightingale in B'ham. but i found out later that it's the name of a gay club. i still want to find this bird.

  • I lived in Woodbridge Suffolk for 10 years and how I miss it. Now in USA and I miss the English countryside
