I've watched several "learn to play Birthday" videos and think your's is closest to the actual way it is played. I primarily mean you're in the right octave (I always played it lower...) I do think you add some heavy metal stylings to your performance (notable in your chunka chunka strum starting @ :58). The vibrato bend in the chorus line is excessive compared to the original, but it's flashy & sounds good to me. So, thanks! You've given me a new view on how to play this tune.

Very good play! I have learn this also today and it sounds pretty good.
What I don't understand:
It's so funny to see that when you play a part on your guitar, you don't hold your hands on the neck but you put it down.

Don't let the tards get yah down bro, this is good shit, keep it up.
The idea of a cover is to play it in your own style, so keep on truckin, play it how you play it, not how they play it.

go to the old fashioned world-sooo much better! and calm down when you play the guitar-it looks alot better if you're relaxed!

Yes...I'm more of a hard rock guitar player...but like I said on an earlier post I love the Beatles, just can't play that style of music very well (I really sound bad trying to play country guitar). I don't think I was nervous so it would be hard to calm down?? My hand kept falling asleep on me and that's why I was shaking it alot. My had falls asleep on me if I play guitar right after I wake up for some reason.

Why all the unnecessary distortion?

I couldn't tell you why. I know you would hate to hear me play "I feel fine" I really crank the distortion on that one!

Not that it's bad, in fact it'd quite good just different for a Beatles song. Why are you shaking your wrist? If you're like me after playing awhile my wrist hurts and shaking it helps the pain. Right?

Actually my hand has a tendancy to fall asleep early in the morning if I play guitar and that is what is happening in this vid! I wish I could play the Beatles songs better...I'm more of a hard rock guitar player but I do love the Beatles.
