Original song from 1984 by this mortal coil Soundtrack from the movie "The Lovely Bones" (Desde mi Cielo) hear this song is to hear something heavenly thank you Elizabeth Fraser for this emotional song ..LIRYCS::::::::::::::::::On the floating, shipless, oceans
I did all my best to smile
til your singing eyes and fingers
drew me loving into your eyes.
And you sang "Sail to me, sail to me,
Let me enfold you."
Here I am, here I am
waiting to hold you.

Did I dream you dreamed about me?
Were you here when I was full sail?
Now my foolish boat is leaning,
broken lovelorn on your rocks.
For you sang "Touch me not, touch me not,
Come back tomorrow."
Oh my heart, oh my heart shies from the sorrow.

I'm as puzzled as a newborn child.
I'm as riddled as the tide.
Should I stand amid the breakers?
Or shall I lie with death my bride?
Here me sing: "Swim to me, swim to me,
Let me enfold you."

Here I am, Here I am, waiting to hold you."------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------TRADUCCION::::En los informes océanos flotantes
hice todo lo que pude por sonreir,
hasta que tus ojos y dedos cantarines
me arrastraron amorosamente hasta tus ojos.

Y tu cantaste "navega hasta mi, navega hasta mi,
deja que te envuelva.
Aquí estoy, aquí estoy, esperando para abrazarte.

¿Soñé que soñabas conmigo?
¿Estabas aquí cuando navegaba a toda vela?
Ahora mi necio bote yace apoyado,
roto y sin amor, contra tus rocas.
Porque cantaste "no me toques,
no me toques, vuelve mañana"

  • @skroew Are you sure its not scrooge? I agree with you but you can't blame someone for not knowing when they don't know there's anything to know. As for my opinion. I will seek out the Tim Buckley version because of the quality of this song. Best part of the soundtrack and yeah, made me a little weepy, too.

  • You kids need a movie to discover the better music in life. We on the other hand, the old farts, did it ourselves and discovered the world. No internet, no YouTube, zero, a magazine if you were lucky to get hold of a good one, they were scarse. Crying watching the movie? I'm crying reading these empty-headed 'comments'.

  • goticamedieval009: WTF do u mean by thanking Liz Frazer? This is a song written by Tim Buckley, Jeff's daddy, in 1966. Do u young wankers know absolutely ziltch? This is a good version, but if you find this one emotional, listen to the real deal. I feel so much pity for you kiddies, you're blanks!!

  • @thedoomguru Not to mention that my best friend died in November, and I'm thinking about him now when I think about that.

  • I'm a guy, and that scene when she was about to go to heaven actually made me cry as well lol xP

  • @LuvArthurFovever123 OMG ME TOO! It still brings tears to my eyes...its absolutely moving and beautiful! ): --G

  • TMC butchered it. Tim Buckley all the way!

  • perfect song for this movie !

  • @ peupan....Just letting you know that your correction is wrong too! Tim Buckley indeed wrote and sung this beautiful song, but it was not recorded in 1970. There's a video on here with him singing it live on The Monkees tv show in 1968. So it was obviously recorded either that year or before. Just saying! As for the film, yes very sad, especially as I have 2 daughters. This version of the song is beautiful, but I still think Tim Buckley has the edge. x

  • A CORRECTION: This theme may have been recorded in 1984 by 4AD, but the original was recorded in 1970 by Tim Buckley, Jeff Buckley's father who also died at the beginning of a new promising career.
