Yes, it does - you're using the concept of 'mankind', not the word in a literal sense, which I should've guessed. ^-^; The "baggage" of the term just threw me for a second.

in the comic the word "man" is used as translation of their word for ..whatever represents animal-kind. Probably to make it more familiar to people reading the comic.....
