I always thought that despite all his faults, that Father was a deeply caring and loving guy who was always there for Vincent, especially when he needed a shoulder to cry on. I don't know very many fathers that can be like that with their sons.

A somewhat corny song, sung by fellow native Floridian, Slim Whitman; but, I like corny and think it suits BATB. Also I think this is probably how Vincent feels, and IMO it is justified, because I do think Father is somewhat misunderstood in much of the fandom.
