Ottawa Crime Stoppers - Saab Gas station robbery

On Dec 3rd, 2009 @ 02:15 two males attended the SAAB gas station located at 1057 Cyrville Rd. The black male approached the clerk inside the store while the white male stood guard at the front door. The black male attempted to go behind the counter and produced a black gun (found to be a pellet gun) in an effort to rob the clerk. The clerk fought off the black male who was soon joined by the white male in an effort to overpower the clerk. It became apparent the clerk was getting the upper hand on both males who subsequently fled on foot empty handed. As the black male was being chased outside he tripped on the curb and dropped the weapon which the clerk recovered.The males fled across the nearby mall and made their way to the Ogilvie north park where they entered an awaiting vehicle and made good their escape. The vehicle is described as a dark compact car. Suspect 1 - black male, 5'7", slim build, dressed all in black hoody and jogging pants, wore a black tuque. Suspect # 2- White male, 5'7", slim build, dressed all in black as well.
