If you are looking for serious treasure hunting and discovering your own gem stones in a real above ground mine; then you will need to make a reservation and experience our Local Mining Trips.

What it is we leave the shop out there about 10 oclock and we come to the mine usually arrive about 10:15 a guide comes with you which will most of the time be me. We provide you a bucket and a hammer when we arrive at the mine, we unload, actually have a safety talk with everybody about being careful and watching chips fly and stuff, when we are hammering. We enter the mine, and we look for Aquamarine, Tourmaline, Garnets, and Golden Burrow, and we will actually be breaking rocks sometimes and sometimes well be digging. A lot of people just want the experience of actually finding their own stuff. You know back at the shop we bring in stuff in from different mines, which if you are on this trip you can actually go and dig and hunt and find your own stuffwhich to a lot or people, it provides a lot more value to them because they actually went out into the field and found it.
