JL2579's Block Exchanger - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gm2BYVsNbsg

I decided to throw together what I've done with pistons so far. This is based of JL2579's model of a Block Exchanger to essentially make a light switch. Let me know what you think!

Music : The Sims - BUILD6 (All rights go to Maxis and their respective owners. I did not make this music, I just think it's awesome.)

  • Im pretty damn positive notch is not going to burn out torches. There is not other source of light other than lightstone. (other then jack o' lanterns which run off torches.)

  • @GamezAndTuts From what I've heard him say, all current torches before the switch will turn into lanterns, and you'll need to craft lanterns (probably out of steel and coal) for permanent lighting. Torches could still be crafted, but will burn out over time.

  • I didn't know that torches will burn up it never happened to me

  • @Carred20 Notch has mentioned that by the time the game is officially released, torches will be temporary and you'll need lanterns or glowstone to light up something permanently

  • why are you using all sticky pistons? the original design used only 1 sticky, and 2 normal pistons.

  • @MaZe741 Because I copied the original design wrong. XD

  • @Override9636 Well thats gona be annoying because I use torches for everything LOL

  • @cooluke11 Hmmm, I probably should have slowed down a bit. I think I'll make another video describing how to link up multiple switching blocks. I'll do that one step-by-step and narrate as I build.

  • What set your reddtone tutorials apart from the rest was the simplicity of what you showed and building it on camera step by step. However I found this tutorial much harder to follow and duplicate :(

  • @Ivorforce XD
